Aaron Gunn, MP Connects with Constituents in Courtenay and Campbell River

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Campbell River, BC – Aaron Gunn, MP, hosted his first two town halls as the Member of Parliament for North Island–Powell River at the Native Sons Hall in Courtenay, BC, and the Campbell River Sportsplex in Campbell River, BC. They were a resounding success.

MP Gunn welcomed over 150 attendees to his Courtenay Town Hall and over 200 attendees in Campbell River. Each town hall began with opening remarks and an update on parliamentary work from MP Gunn.

Following these remarks, he hosted an hour-long Q&A. He answered every written question from the crowd and stayed after the Q&A to answer questions one-on-one.

“So far, my town halls have been a great way to engage with constituents and hear their concerns. There is a lot going on in Ottawa, so it is important to give a voice to the people and let them speak up on the federal government’s decisions that impact their lives,” MP Gunn said.

“Town halls help me perform my core responsibility to listen and represent my constituents and their views in the House of Commons. I want to give people their voice back and ensure the people of North Island–Powell River aren’t being ignored.”

In the upcoming weeks, MP Gunn has two more town halls across North Island–Powell River. This includes town halls in Port McNeill on March 16 and Powell River on March 19.
